If you’re suffering from a touch of the January blues at the moment then fear not, because while it may be cold and grey outside, there’s plenty of colour coming our way this year in the world of beauty. From creative collaborations to cult classic foundations in the making, 2017 is already shaping up to be a great one for beauty lovers. Here’s a little sneak preview and just some of what’s to come.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year, which moves into the year of the Fire Rooster on 28th January; Giorgio Armani has created a limited edition illuminating palette. The beautiful, silky highlighting powder is embossed with the Fire Rooster, symbolising the energy and beginning of a new day. The vibrant, red lacquered effect of the packaging and Chinese character details complete the palette.
Until now, Anastasia Beverly Hills has been best known for its brow products and face sculpting palettes, but the brand new Lip Palette has been generating a lot of buzz in the beauty community. The 18 shades give you limitless choices to create new shades and tones, much like an artist would do with their paints meaning your lips become the canvas.
Let your inner child out to play with this cute, fun and creative collaboration that’s due to hit stores in February. Clinique has teamed up with none other than Crayola to create a limited edition run of their best selling Chubby Sticks and the results are just perfect – a makeup crayon that actually looks like a crayon? What’s not to like? They’ve even made the box they come in look like a classic crayon box.
It’s the one everyone has been eagerly awaiting: a palette of pastel eyeshadows that offers truly strong pigment and long wear, both of which are signatures of the hugely popular Kat Von D make-up collection. The Pastel Goth Palette is available online via Sephora now in the US, but there’ll be a slightly longer wait for Europe, where it’s set to hit stores in May.
You’re going to fall in love with this new collection from Clarins. Starring the Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm (€14) and Skin Illusion Blush (€20), these limited edition products come in cute, coquettish packaging and are available in a pink-based palette just in time for Valentine’s Day (hint, hint). The collection will be available at all Clarins counters from 6th February.
