Olivia Palermo has made her mark as every woman’s girl crush and looking at her it’s easy to see why. With her relaxed elegance, coiffed hair and expertly applied makeup, Olivia makes her fashion icon status appear easy and effortless. We have chosen one of our favourite beauty looks that Olivia mastered this week and show you to recreate her red carpet natural radiance.

As we all know by now, primer is the key to achieving a flawless base that lasts all day. Olivia is known to use Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum as it grabs onto foundation so that it doesn’t budge. I would recommend that if you’re trying to mimic Olivia’s look then try L’Oréal Lumi Magique Primer. It will give a glow that looks incredible underneath foundation.

Olivia is a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury and uses a lot of products from this luxury brand. Our motto is if it’s not broken don’t fix it. To get that flawless skin look try Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. It has a demi-matte finish which will leave you with a natural looking base that is neither too dull or overly dewy.

In order to set your base, powder is a necessary step for most skin types. However, Olivia only applies this to her T-zone to avoid looking flat and dull. While Olivia is a fan Shu Uemura Lightbulb Glowing Face Powder, Laura Mercier powders are also amazing and worth every penny as a little bit goes a long way. Dust lightly using a large fluffy powder brush.

To create that doe eye look, less is definitely more. For the overall eye colour, we suspect that Olivia has MAC Paint Pot in the shade ‘Painterly’ across her lid. You can apply this using a fluffy blending brush (MAC 217 brush is perfect for this) or you can do so using your fingers as it is a cream product. To define the crease, ‘Woodwinked‘ also by MAC is a winner every time. Apply MAC Feline Kohl Eye Pencil to the upper and lower waterline (you can avoid the lower waterline if your eyes are small or close set as this will only work to enhance that). Blend this out along the upper lash line to give a soft and defused look. Dab a small amount of highlighter to the inner corner of the eyes to open and brighten them. Apply a generous coating of Olivia’s favourite mascara, Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes to finish off the eyes. If you want to really play up flirty lashes, Ardell Demi Wispies will be your best friend.

Define and highlight:

Olivia’s face is beautifully sculpted with chiseled cheekbones. Whether you are blessed with such features or not you can always achieve the look using a little contour and highlight powder. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow is a great palette that includes both and will help you create model-esque cheekbones. The pigment in this is nothing short of awe inspiring but drugstore brand Sleek does a great cheaper alternative.
Lightly apply the contour shade in the hollows of your cheeks making sure that the shade is well blended with your foundation to avoid harsh, unnatural lines. To make your cheekbones pop, apply a highlighter along the top and under your brow bone. You can also apply some to the top of your Cupid’s bow. Add some colour to your cheeks with a subtle and natural looking blusher like The Cheekbone Cheat Blusher Bronzer Duo from Olivia’s collaboration with Ciaté London.

To finish, swipe a nude lipstick that has a hint of peach on the lips. Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in ‘Nude Kate’ is a great option or for a drugstore alternative try Rimmel’s Salon Pro by Kate Nude Collection.

Once you have finished applying your makeup you can lock everything in place with a setting spray. Depending on your skin type, you can opt for Urban Decay’s All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray or NYX’s Dewy Finish Setting Spray.
