Legendary scent designers Viktor & Rolf have announced a new enchanting visual for their renowned first feminine fragrance flowerbomb.
Having recently celebrated their 10 years of scent, they decided to mark this marvelous feat by unveiling a fresh campaign image which is infused with new life and spirit, reflecting the fragrances modernity while still keeping the visual continuity of the original.
The gorgeous new visual that was captured by photography duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, displays an empowered, floral goddess. Her strong posture and daring nature honor her predecessor. Her face displays a free and modern expression of femininity, which is accompanied by an explosion of precious flowers bursting from her head into the universe. The bouquet’s rare composition of new flowers exudes a strong emanation and features a contrasting assortment of colors from soft blush pinks through to deeper burgundy shades.
Having been reluctant to change the flowerbomb visual, Viktor & Rolf quickly realized a new image could emphasise an iconic status.
“ We imagined an image that would be an evolution of the idea of Flowerbomb: a mysterious, slightly surreal, strong and vibrant woman, who has the power to transform anything into something positive and beautiful. The surreal bouquet of flower on her head is a metaphor for positive thinking”
Although a new image has been announced, the signature scent of Sambac jasmine flowers, feesias and a list of other exotic elements are here to stay, along with the symbolic multifaceted bottle.
The newly revamped visual will be unveiled globally this summer starting from July 2016. Keep your eyes peeled.
